one-size, fitted 2-ply fabric mask with elastic ear loops and a filter pocket. the elastic ear loops extend the fit and the nose wire ensures that the mask stays snug on smaller faces (and keeps us four eyes fog free!). they are breathable, comfortable, and fit a great range of face shapes and sizes; holding up with all-day use, outdoor activities, and regular washing.

there is some variation because I’m not a super precise sewist at any step, but these masks, measured folded, are about 5” deep (tip of nose to your jawbone in front of your ear) and 6” tall (just under your chin to the bridge of your nose). the elastic ear loops can be adjusted or retied as needed to improve fit; if you would prefer twill tape ties to elastic loops, please make a note at checkout!

all of the materials except the elastic is reclaimed: fabric (quilting cotton) donated from other sewists, purchased at yard sales or second hand craft stores; thread from my nana’s supplies; and the nose wire is floral wire I got at goodwill 10 years ago. the lining is botanically dyed cotton or linen.

masks should be washed after each public/indoor use or where social distancing was not possible. machine or hand wash warm; line dry or tumble dry low. please follow the cdc guidelines for when and how to wear and handle your masks. stay safe and be well!
